I'm looking for a source for a plate transformer for a Gonset GSB-101/Model 3262 linear amplifier. This is a table top linear using 4 811A's, and needs 3600vCT at over 600 mA in a very small size (4 x 5 x 6 1/2').

I do NOT have the original, so rewinding is out of the question. Any ideas would be appreciated. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Neil Preston, CET Instructor, Electronics Technology Amateur Radio Station WB0DQW Herndon Technical School 'Never confuse motion with action.' - Benjamin Franklin. :>:>I'm looking for a source for a plate transformer for a Gonset:>GSB-101/Model 3262 linear amplifier. Neil (and others who have been asking about replacement transformers), Check the Peter W. Dahl site at 'www.pwdahl.com.' In the case of the Gonset GSB-101 I find: GONSET GSB-101 ER PLATE C EXACT REPLACEMENT UNIT WITH 117 VAC PRI EI-175 CCS DM) HT = 5.250 WT = 4.375 DT = 7.205 MD = 6.125 MW = 3.500 WT = 31.1 LBS ======================================================================== == GONSET GSB-101 ER PLATE J EXACT REPLACEMENT UNIT WITH 220 VAC PRI EI-175 CCS DM) HT = 5.250 WT = 4.375 DT = 7.205 MD = 6.125 MW = 3.500 WT = 31.1 LBS These are exact replacement transformers in either 115 Volt or 220 Volt (Continuous Commercial Service) so should be easily able to provide 600 or 700 mA peak.

Dahl has exact replacement transformers for most amateur amplifiers, higher capacity retrofit transformers, as well as transformers for many of the ARRL/Ham Radio/CQ magazine/Handbook modification articles and construction porojects.
